Dušan Týnek became a dancer and choreographer after abandoning his earlier pursuit of a career in the sciences. This capitulation lowered the drawbridge for an invasion of nonverbal, narrative, theatrical work utilizing an original movement vocabulary which owes its heart to ballet, ballroom, folk and flamenco and its physical sensibility to Merce Cunningham and the Judson Church choreographers.
