| Roderick Murray's lighting designs have been seen nationally and internationally since 1992 on the works of Kimberly Bartosik, Ralph Lemon, Benjamin Millepied, Pepatian, Hot Mouth, Bill Young and Dancers, Dušan Týnek, and Kriota Willburg, among many others.
He has worked extensively with the Wally Cardona Quartet since 1999 and received a 2001 Bessie Award for the design of Cardona's Trance Territory, and is looking forward to a future collaboration to be presented at BAM Harvey in 2005.
Mr. Murray is thrilled to be continuing his collaboration with Yanira Castro, and with whom he is currently working on the installation for the premiere of Beacon at the Lyceum in Brooklyn. Prior to dedicating himself full time to design, he also performed for 9 years with the award winning Circus Amok. While he was in the circus he worked for many different dance companies as production manager and/or stage manager, including Lucinda Childs Dance Company, Sean Curran, John Jaspers, Neil Greenberg, Twyla Tharp, the Harkness Dance Festival at the 92nd Street Y and others.
